Comórtas Bácála

Pupils have been examining and practising Procedural Writing. Procedures are written to explain how something is done, in a series of sequenced steps. Examples of procedural writing include a set of instructions such as a recipe.

Pupils have been asked to design and create a baking programme for healthy treats in groups of three and two.

Ten minutes of time each day between 22nd-  26th January has been allotted to enable pupils to plan together and answer any questions they may have.

Pupils must do the following in their groups

  1. Research recipe books at home and choose a suitable recipe to bake. Please note baking time should not exceed 1 hour.
  2. Write the chosen recipe on an A3 sheet and present to class.
  3. Write out a list of ingredients/ extra equipment required and divide evenly amongst the group.
  4. Write a script into their English copies for their baking programme to assist in the filming.
  5. Record the baking programme onto IPad and edit.
