Lá Rothaíochta

Posted 10/6/2018

Beidh ár Lá Rothaíochta ar siúl Dé Luain 18 Meitheamh. Tá dhá bhealach againn tríd Mionloch agus beidh deis ag gach dalta a bhfuil rothar acu ar scoil an lá sin ceann díobh a dhéanamh. Mar sin tá sé fíor-thábhachtach go dtagann siad ar scoil ar/le rothar Dé Luain seo chugainn. Ní mór do ‘chuile leanbh clogad agus veist shofheicthe a thabhairt ar soil freisin; muna bhfuil veist shofheicthe ag do ghasúr tá cinn bhreise againn. Bí cinnte go bhfuil ainm scríofa ar gach rud. Má tá tuismitheoirí saor chun cabhrú linn ar an lá bheadh sé sin ar fheabhas, ach caithfidh grinnfhiosrúchán an Gharda Síochána a bheith acu. Tá súil againn go mbeidh an lá go deas agus má tá beidh sciath/uachtar ghréine ag teastáil.

We will be having our Lá Rothaíocht next Monday 18 June. There are two routes through Mionloch and every pupil who has a bicycle with them at school that day will get a chance to cycle one of them. As such, it is very important that they bring their bike to school with them next Monday. Every child must also bring a helmet and high visibility vest to school; if they don’t have a hi-vis top we have some spare ones here. Please make sure that names are written on everything. If parents are free to help-out on the day that would be great, but everyone must have Garda Vetting. We hope that the day will be sunny and is it is then sun screen/cream will be needed.

June 1st School Closure

Posted 1/6/2018

A Thuistí agus a Chairde,

Regarding the closure of the school on the 1st of June due to a problem with the sewerage system: The Board of Management made every effort to avoid closing the school, emergency work was done on the system the previous night and we understood that the problem was remedied.  On arriving at school the next morning however, and in the light of day, it was clear that there was further work required to ensure a safe school environment for all. We apologise sincerely for the late notice and any inconvenience this caused to our school community.

Regarding the issue of the children being dropped back to their bus stops by the bus driver, and not taken to school where the teachers were waiting to receive them and ensure everyone was collected safely: the Board of Management understands the gravity of the situation and is in contact with the service provider regarding the same. Once it became apparent that the bus wasn’t arriving, the school staff went to great lengths to ensure that all children were safe and accounted for. We thank them sincerely for this.

Board of Management, Scoil Bhríde

Léamhatón Scoil Bhríde 2018

Posted 5/3/2018

Rinne gach dalta an-iarracht inár léamhatón i rith mí Feabhra; maith sibh go léir! Bhí sé deacair ar na múinteoirí buatoirí ranga a roghnú, mar ní an duine le níos mó léite a bhí i gceist seachas an té a rinne an t-iarracht is mó. Ach cosúil leis na gradaim Oscar tá na buatóirí againn! ☺

Here are all the winners of our Léamhatón; based on the outstanding effort they put in.

Naíonáin Bheaga
Aidan ó Branáin
Naíonáin Mhóra Callie Ní Chuanaigh
Rang 1 Niamh Ní Chinnéide
Rang 2 Éabha Howley
Rang 3 Julie Ann Ní Fhathaigh
Rang 4 Shaelinn Howley
Rang 5 Kate Clancy

Freisin, go raibh maith agat Múinteoir Orla!
